Your baby has really plumped up. She weighs about 6.8 pounds and she's over 19 1/2 inches long (like a leek). She has a firm grasp, which you'll soon be able to test when you hold her hand for the first time! Her organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.Wondering what color your baby's eyes will be? You may not be able to tell right away. If she's born with brown eyes, they'll likely stay brown. If she's born with steel gray or dark blue eyes, they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time she's 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they usually won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes have more pigment than gray or blue eyes.)How far along?: 38 weeks, getting there!
How big is baby?: Over 6 pounds now...and I'm feeling it!
Maternity clothes?: Nothing fits. I wear the same things all of the time!
Stretch marks?: I got one little guy at 37 weeks, not pleased but what can you do!
Sleep?: Sleep is still good, I've been lucky!
Best moment this week?: Finishing the bathroom! It turned out so good...all it needs are a few more little decorative touches.
Movement?: She beats the crap out of me -- She actually woke me out of my sleep at 7:30 AM on Sunday because she was kicking so hard! I think she wants out :)
Food cravings?: Still loving chocolate ice cream with Reese Cups & caramel
Labor signs?: Random contractions but still no signs that Sophia is coming any time soon :(
Belly button in or out?: Still in!
What I miss: I'm officially over being pregnant...ready to meet her now!
What I'm looking forward to: Meeting Sophia...hopefully sooner than later!
Ladies & gentleman, the bathroom is finished! Thank God Jordan's dad was able to help us out with a lot of it, we definitely couldn't have done it without him. It turned out very nice, well worth the 3 weeks it took to complete!
I'm over being pregnant. I want her out...yesterday. I am officially waddling at this point, my back hurts, nothing fits, my feet are swollen, my ankles have disappeared, I get gallbladder attcks frequently, I got my first stretch mark and to top it all off I'm cranky. Poor Jordan gets to deal with all of that! Some women say pregnancy makes them very emotional and cry...I, on the other hand, want to punch people and am mean! I know that I snap at Jordan but I honestly can't help it...it just comes out! I think he sometimes wonders where his wife has gone :)
